When and where was Tastea founded?
Tastea was started by college friends Ted Vu and Scott Nguyen, who opened the first store in Little Saigon on September 15, 2001. Read the full story on our About page.

What is bubble tea or boba tea?
Bubble tea, also called boba tea, is a tea-based drink that often includes milk, fruit flavors, and chewy tapioca pearls or other toppings.
What are the most popular drinks at Tastea?

Yes. You can set the sweetness of any drink and add toppings like boba, crystal jellies and aloe.
Yes. Our Good Eats menu includes Karate Chicken, Buttload'a Fries and Calamari. Good Eats aren't available at Express locations.
Does Tastea have caffeine-free drinks?
Yes. Winter Melon Milk Tea is caffeine-free, and so are the lemonades at select stores. See our Menu page for drink details.
Do some Tastea stores have exclusive drinks?
Yes. Select stores carry exclusives that aren't on our main menu, like Matcha Milk Tea and horchata drinks. Check each store's page under Locations to see what it offers.
Ordering & Delivery
Yes. Order ahead for pickup at order.gotastea.com or in the free Tastea Rewards app.
Does Tastea deliver?
Most Tastea locations offer delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats and/or Grubhub; check your delivery app for your store. Delivery orders don't earn Tastea Rewards points.
Rewards & Gift Cards
Sign up in the free Tastea Rewards app to earn 3 points for every $1 you spend, plus a free 20 oz Specialtea after your first purchase. See our Rewards page for birthday treats, app-only offers and point expiration.
Yes. Tastea gift cards are bought and sent through the Tastea Rewards app, can't be purchased in-store, and never expire.
Catering, Fundraising & Franchising
Yes. Choose a Hosted Boba Bar, Pour & Go drink delivery or 1-gallon Partea Jugs, with pricing and availability varying by location. Send an inquiry on our Catering page.
Can my school or group fundraise with Tastea?
Yes. Tastea donates up to 20% of pre-tax sales for in-house fundraisers, or your group can run a Sell Your Own Tastea fundraiser. Request a date on our Fundraising page.
Can I open a Tastea franchise?
Yes. Tastea franchising is open to 2027 and 2028 applicants with at least $400K in liquid capital. Start with the soft inquiry form on our Franchise page.

What if I'm not happy with my drink?
Our Smile Guarantee means we'll replace your drink or refund your money if you let us know before you leave the store. For online or app orders, email wecare@tastea.net.
