Where It Began

At the young age of 22, Ted Vu and Scott Nguyen were just two friends, attending college, going on dates, and enjoying student life. They noticed that all of the tea shops in the area were traditional and lacking a customer-centric focus. So, they decided to merge the east Asian flavors they grew up with, the fun flavor combinations of Jamba Juice, and the exceptional customer service of Starbucks.

With that goal in mind, they started experimenting in their garage, making drinks crafted with real fruit, milk, and cane sugar. Their big break came when they started selling their unique blends to college students from a Tastea trailer at CSUF.

They found immense success with their innovative drinks and decided to open their first store in Little Saigon in 2001. Since then, Tastea has continued to push the boundaries of taste and flavor, with classic drinks like Thai Iced Tea and Taro Milk Tea, as well as innovative new creations that our customers love.

Our Growth

With 3 Corporate stores open, Tastea decided to start our first franchise location in 2016 in Chino Hills. Since then, we've expanded to 30 locations with more coming in the next year.

Since our Brand steadily expanded over the past 20 years, we've been able to hone in on the success of our first location and provide a strong structured system that can be easily trained across our multiple locations.

However, no matter how many stores we open, at the heart of Tastea is a family-oriented brand that is proud to support the livelihoods of our franchisees, partners and team members.

Intro to Tastea Franchising

Are you ready to don a green Tastea shirt and get into the nitty gritty of owning a store? We're looking for owners who are willing to dedicate their time and passion to their Tastea.

Interview

Once we receive your pre-qualification form, our dedicated team will review your application to see if you're a right fit for Tastea. After the pre-screen process, our team will reach out to schedule additional interviews. The interview will include expectations, possible locations to explore, costs and a more detailed timeline.

Sign the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)

Once you've passed your in-person interview, we'll begin the process of finalizing the agreement. During this time, you'll pay your franchise fee and any other initial fees

Find Your Location

After you finish signing the FDD, your next step is to find a location. During this time, you'll need to decide what type of model your store will be and find an adequate location.

Build Out Your Store

You will begin searching for licensed contractor & architect. During this time, our team will support you with finalizing your architectural plans, the design, and the final build out of your Tastea location.

Tastea Bootcamp & Onboarding

Join the fun by training in one of our corporate Tastea locations for two weeks in Orange County, CA and receive up to 4 weeks of training support at your Tastea location.

Here, you'll learn what makes a Tastea great. All necessary training and operational guidance will help to ensure that when your Tastea opens, you are comfortable and prepared to shake, blend, and stir your way to success.
