Tastea’s Response in Maneuvering through COVID-19

An open letter to the Tastea community

Over the past few weeks, we have been closely monitoring the recent effects of COVID-19 and the impacts it has made to our local communities. 

Our number one priority has always been the safety of our customers and team members. As a result, we are reaching out to you directly to share the steps we have taken to ensure our community stays safe and healthy.  

Based upon the guidance received from the CDC & Department of Health and our own preparations we have created the following precautionary steps to be put into action at our stores. 

1. We are temporarily pausing the use of our Monstrositea tumblers or any personal cups at this time. However, we will continue to honor the 10-cent discount to anyone who presents their Monstrositea tumbler at the register.  

2. We are diligently increasing the cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces including, but not limited to: tables, ordering area, pass out area, and entrance doors.  

3. All guest-facing displays are to be sanitized constantly throughout the day.  

4. Team Members are performing adequate hygiene procedures including a minimum of 20-second handwashing.  

5. If any of our Team Members feel the slightest illness, they will not be allowed to work and must stay home to recover.

6. In-store sampling will be temporarily halted. 

We believe these practices are important steps to ensuring all safety measures are in compliance with the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention & we hope that it does not disrupt your Tastea experience but rather make you feel more secure whether you're dining in or having take-out. 

We are hopeful that this will be a temporary impact to our stores and will continue to uphold our mission and guiding principles to maintain a healthy surrounding for our customers and team members.
